The Department of Physics at V.S. Sivalingam Chettiyar Government Arts College was established in 1987 with a commitment to providing quality scientific education to rural and aspiring students. The department offers a comprehensive B.Sc. Physics undergraduate programme designed to build a strong foundation in theoretical concepts, analytical thinking, and practical experimental skills.
Our curriculum integrates fundamental physics principles—including Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Quantum Physics, Optics, and Electronics—with practical laboratory training. Supported by dedicated faculty members and well-equipped laboratories, the department fosters a research-oriented and inquiry-driven academic environment.
